Shannon is a Maine native and recently returned to her home state to be able to work under the supervision of Dr. DiGiovanni. She decided several years ago to leave her career in accounting and finance to pursue her passion for psychology and mental health.
Shannon graduated from Sacred Heart University with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and currently works with individuals and couples across the lifespan. After completing her graduate degree, she decided to further her education and is currently a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at William James College in Newton, Massachusetts. After working in her first practicum with children and adolescents assisting with neuropsychological assessments, she decided to specialize in this area.
Shannon is an enthusiastic advanced practicum student who assists with test administration and scoring for evaluations. When she is not studying or working, she loves being outdoors, especially anywhere close to the ocean. In her spare time, she loves to read, practice yoga, go horseback riding, cook, or travel. She has also started learning how to play the acoustic guitar.
